Our Programs
We are dedicated to helping the youth in our community unlock their full potential with support and guidance. We believe every athlete deserves the support and guidance to grow into the very best versions of themselves - both in and out of the gym. Women's & Men's Developmental Program (Junior Olympic)
USA Gymnastics is the national governing body directing our competitive gymnastics program. USAG has three distinct programs: Developmental level 1-2, Compulsory 3-5, Optional 6-10, and Elite.
At Cascade Elite West, our competitive team begins at level 2 and continues through level 10 and Elite programs. In levels 1 to 5, athletes compete in “Compulsory Levels.” Level 6 to 10 are considered “Optionals.” Within optionals gymnasts may compete with personalized, choreographed routines that must include certain required elements.
XCEL
XCEL is a competitive gymnastics program that follows the same structure, events, judging, and skill development that the DP Women’s program. The Xcel program has a less intensive training regimen, allowing athletes to participate in more activities outside of the gym. The program is designed to provide a broad-based, affordable, competitive experience. It was designed to open the door for competitive gymnastics to more athletes.
The Xcel program has 5 distinct levels, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, & Sapphire. The Xcel program provides athletes the ability to shine in events they personally do well in and gives athletes the ability to perform skills they are comfortable with.
Trampoline & Tumbling (T&T)
T&T Competes in 3 distinct events.
Power Tumbling is performed on elevated fiberglass runways that help tumblers propel themselves higher and faster. Top-level contenders will perform explosive somersaults with multiple flips and twists.
Double Mini-Trampoline combines the horizontal run of tumbling with the vertical rebound of the trampoline. After a short run, the athlete jumps onto a small two-level trampoline to perform a rebounding trick immediately followed by a dismount element onto a landing mat.
Trampoline in international competitions, these modern trampolines can propel trained athletes as high as 30 feet in the air during performances. During two competitive routines of 10 skills each.
T&T follows a similar competitive structure, with levels 1-6 being considered compulsory and more optional becoming available to athletes in levels 7-10 as optional.
